Come along for a special evening celebrating Queer and Neurodivergent community, hosted by The ONE Centre in Gateshead, the region’s first LGBTQIA+ community centre! 🏳️🌈
Everyone is welcome, whatever your background or identity, but we’ll be putting our Queer/LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent community at the heart of this social — and would especially love to see you there.
When: Friday 9th October, 4:40–7:30pm
Where: The ONE Centre
Unit 2B, Stonehills, Shields Road
Pelaw, Gateshead
NE10 0HWWhat’s happening?
We’ll have our usual relaxed social with games, chats, stim aids and sensory lights, plus some special creative activities:
Poetry with local poet Amy Langdown — a drop-in workshop exploring poetry around Queer and Neurodivergent experiences.
Henna/Mehndi with Sofia Barton — have a go at creating temporary henna designs on your hands or arms, or explore the art form on paper with paints.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Please include any dietary requirements on the booking form.
This is a dry space, so please don’t bring alcohol.
